Here you will find my attempts at making music videos and slideshows. I have actually made many attempts at creating music videos since I started my sophomore year in college, but due to problems with my computer or corruption of my project many of them have been left unfinished. I plan on going back and finishing them at some point, but it's really frustrating when you got things to line up perfectly just the way you wanted, and then your work is lost because of some problem with the editor. My first completed music videos were done with Windows Movie Maker 2, but I have recently upgraded to Adobe Premiere and I'm looking forward to playing with the much wider range of tools it offers to video editors.
This is my first completed music video. It was made using Windows Movie Maker 2 (hey, we've all got to start somewhere, right?). In the Fall of 2004 I had the privilege to Captain the first Ranger Challenge Team from the Colorado School of Mines in three years. My teammates were awesome and they gave everything they had. We trained hard and it paid off. We didn't finish first, but we weren't even close to last. I was so proud of the team that I made this music video for them from the pictures taken during training and the competition.
This is a video that my ROTC unit asked me to make for our Spring Dining Out (formal ball) to show everyone what we had accomplished that semester. I went through two versions, the first was really not very good, although I really liked the music. This one turned out much better though, and so that's what we showed. It was sandwiched between two other videos, one set to Toby Keith's "Angry American," and the other was a senior tribute video that I put together set to Yellowcard's "Believe." I'd post that one as well, but it's kind of personal and I'm not sure everyone in it would want that out on the web. Here's this one though, so enjoy!
